Our last day in DC . . .

July 5, 2008
Happy Birthday, Clay!
FDR Memorial - James stands in the bread line during the Great Depression.
Chet explains to the students how FDR went to great lengths to hide his disability, but now in this memorial to FDR, the acknowledgement of his disability serves as a model that anyone can do or be anything they set their mind to do or be - including becoming President of the United States!
FDR statue shows him in a wheelchair.

FDR Memorial has a purposeful inclusion of water in many of the "rooms."
