Mrs. Goforth and Mr. Payne are pleased to announce that this year's trip was a huge success and we owe it all to the students and parents who traveled on the trip. We managed to see just about everything we had planned on the itinerary and all of the sights proved to be very educational and entertaining. Thank you again to everyone who participated in this trip! We hope we helped you create a memory that will last a lifetime!

Happy Birthday, Clay!
FDR Memorial - James stands in the bread line during the Great Depression.
Chet explains to the students how FDR went to great lengths to hide his disability, but now in this memorial to FDR, the acknowledgement of his disability serves as a model that anyone can do or be anything they set their mind to do or be - including becoming President of the United States!
FDR statue shows him in a wheelchair.
FDR Memorial has a purposeful inclusion of water in many of the "rooms."

Madison and Susan Weston relax waiting for the fireworks to begin!
Sierra and Jennifer had fun taking care of Wyatt (Chet & Brigid's son) as it rained on us waiting for the fireworks to begin!
The discovery of the colonial game trap ball proved to be a great deal of fun for our students! A few students purchased the game at Mount Vernon and played while we waited for the fireworks. A crowd of envious bystanders even gathered around to watch the students play!
We were hoping the rain would stop before we reached our spot between the Washington Monument and the World War II Memorial to set up for the firework show, but it didn't.
A little rain won't spoil the 4th of July festivities for Ms. Bown, Mrs. Goforth, and Mr. Tom!
