Our group stands in line at Mount Vernon (George Washington's home & plantation) as we are one of the first to arrive at 8:15 AM.
Sarah, Emma, and Morgan are thrilled that we are about to step into the actual home of George Washington!

After leaving Mount Vernon, we stopped in Old Town Alexandria for lunch. Zoe, Emma, and Josh are about to fall into the Potomac River!
After a couple hours of touring some of the Smithsonian museums, Chris, Bennett, Grayson, William, Blake, and Max rest as we wait for the whole group to meet at 4:30.
We are walking to dinner . . . at the ESPN Zone . . . I think I feel a sprinkle!

The White House is a perfect backdrop for this group of students! We really enjoyed our tour of the most famous house in the world yesterday, on July 3rd!

The discovery of the colonial game trap ball proved to be a great deal of fun for our students! A few students purchased the game at Mount Vernon and played while we waited for the fireworks. A crowd of envious bystanders even gathered around to watch the students play!
We were hoping the rain would stop before we reached our spot between the Washington Monument and the World War II Memorial to set up for the firework show, but it didn't.
A little rain won't spoil the 4th of July festivities for Ms. Bown, Mrs. Goforth, and Mr. Tom!
